ScrapeGoat v2.1.0

  • Download PDF manuals from ScreenScraper to a configurable directory, organized automatically by system.

  • Prefer plain cheat files over device-specific variants such as Game Genie or Action Replay when multiple cheat matches exist.

v2.0.0

  • New Apostrophe UI — Adds queue/progress tracking, existing-file detection, and visibility into how many artwork files or cheats are already available. The progress tracker also makes it easier to see when an error has occurred and which item hit it.

  • Miyoo Flip support — ScrapeGoat now runs on my355 (Miyoo Flip) devices, in addition to TrimUI Smart Pro, Brick, and Smart Pro S.

  • Sega Saturn support — Artwork scraping and cheat downloading now include Sega Saturn (bringing totals to 47 systems for artwork, 33 for cheats).

  • Improved cheat matching — ROMs with alternate regional titles (e.g. Streets of Rage II / Bare Knuckle II) now correctly match their cheat files, even when the Libretro filename uses both titles joined by _.

  • Combined .pakz installer — Bundle size reduced to 18MB, down from 54MB.

ScrapeGoat v1.0.1 — Release Notes

ROM Subfolder Support

  • ROMs inside subfolders are now discovered recursively, so you can organize your ROM library into subdirectories.
  • Artwork is saved in a .media folder co-located with the ROM file, correctly supporting subfolder structures.

Cheat Directory Logic

  • Cheat downloads now support ROM subfolders and are downloaded to the cht/ subdirectory for each system tag

Safer Media Downloads

  • DownloadMedia now writes to a temporary .tmp file first and renames it to the final path only on success, preventing partial or corrupted artwork files if a download is interrupted.

Dependency Updates

  • Updated gabagool from v2.9.3 to v2.9.6.
    • TG5050 power-button and nextval-path fixes are now included upstream — the corresponding vendor patches have been removed.
