I'm not sure what to do with this. Without a mail module the calendar can never fully work because there's no way to receive invitations. |

You've right. This is not a great working but people can use only the calendar with an external mail client like Thunderbird. This is not usefull but the possibility for person who want to use his own client is benefit. |

Even if email module is not configured, invited user (participant) can see the event in his calendar.
This work only when it's an internal user that had a calendar.
