In December 2021, the DESC Collaboration Council ratified an amendment to the Membership Policy defining an annual DESC Membership Status Review to be conducted by the Membership Committee. The Membership Status Review Criteria are posted to Confluence and the public website. The Membership Committee (MC) is now pleased to announce the 2026 Membership Status Review Procedure which is also available on Confluence and the public website.
If there are personal or technical reasons you cannot complete the Membership Review, please use this form to inform the Membership Committee.
If you wish to leave the DESC, please use this form to inform the Membership Committee.
DESC members who have updated their DESC People Database entry or have joined the collaboration in the last six months are exempt from the review.
If you wish to complete the review ahead of time and avoid further email notifications, do the following:
Completing the Membership Status Review Early
- Visit the DESC People Database and log into Confluence
- If you do not recall what account you use to log into DESC SLAC Confluence, please see this spreadsheet.
- Click on your name
- Click Edit and make any necessary changes
- Please note that the interface for setting our affiliations has changed and now allows us to include more than one affiliation if needed. Details about the new interface for affiliations is available here.
- If you have changed affiliations or position, please update the Supervisor field as appropriate
- This is a great time to consider adding your ORCID and Latex Name to your database entry
- When done editing, click Update to save the changes, then click Done Editing
- Update must be clicked first to save the changes
- Check that your LastCheckedByUser date is set to the current date
Once the LastCheckedByUser date is updated to the current date, you will have completed the review and will not receive any further email notifications!
