Contents of the Pull Request

This PR updates the Staff & Training Competency article with significant structural and content improvements to enhance clarity, consistency, and practical guidance for organizations at different maturity levels.

Key improvements:

  • Updated Overview section to emphasize continuous learning as essential, not one-time training, reflecting ongoing changes in IT systems requiring ongoing training maintenance and expansion
  • Added User Experience sections to all levels (100-500) for consistency across the article
  • Reorganized Process sections at Level 400 into clear subcategories:
    • Training Delivery (including role-based and competency-focused training, ongoing training time requirements, AI-powered tools)
    • HR Support & Governance (comprehensive HR training support, quality management, coaching)
    • Competency Groups (structure, rules, support systems including Digital leaders group and Power Platform competency groups)
  • Enhanced content with mentor-like tone, practical examples, and actionable guidance
  • Expanded Level 400 with detailed guidance on:
    • Role-based and competency-focused training approaches
    • Ongoing training time requirements (weekly preferred, monthly minimum)
    • AI-powered training tools and Microsoft 365 Copilot integration
    • HR's strategic role in training governance and support
    • Competency groups structure and ownership models

Specific additions:

  • HR Support & Governance section explaining HR's role in training support, quality management, coaching, and working with system owners
  • Competency Groups section describing structure, rules, and support systems including Digital leaders group for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform competency groups driven by IT architects
  • Training delivery guidance with role-based training tailored to specific roles, competency mapping, certificate tracking, and gap analysis
  • Continuous learning emphasis throughout the article, reflecting that training is an ongoing process as IT systems evolve continuously

Level-specific enhancements:

  • Level 100: User Experience section added
  • Level 200: User Experience section added
  • Level 300: User Experience section added
  • Level 400: Comprehensive Process reorganization with subcategories, User Experience section, expanded training guidance
  • Level 500: User Experience section added

Guidance

This update improves the article's consistency with other competency articles in the Maturity Model, provides clearer practical guidance for organizations at different maturity levels, and emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and HR's strategic role in training governance. The structural improvements make it easier for readers to understand what to expect at each level, and the expanded Level 400 content provides actionable guidance for organizations moving toward predictable training practices.
