While upgrading pekko-remote_3 to version 1.4.0 is a good step, it's crucial to maintain version consistency across all related Pekko modules to avoid binary incompatibilities and runtime errors. The other Pekko modules are still on version 1.2.1.

It is highly recommended to upgrade all of the following Pekko dependencies from 1.2.1 to 1.4.0 as well:

  • pekko-cluster_3
  • pekko-discovery_3
  • pekko-protobuf-v3_3
  • pekko-coordination_3
  • pekko-distributed-data_3
  • pekko-cluster-tools_3
  • pekko-cluster-sharding_3
  • pekko-actor_3
  • pekko-stream_3

Additionally, the pekko-management* dependencies, currently at version 1.1.1, may also need to be updated to a version compatible with Pekko 1.4.0.

This will ensure all Pekko components are compatible with each other.
