Ch 8 Model Reports

Michael McCarthy edited this page Jan 29, 2026 · 4 revisions

The updated model automatically produces summary reports for various regional and link-level statistics at the end of each model run.

Model Summary

The Model Summary reports Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT), Vehicle Hours Traveled (VHT), and Vehicle Hours of Delay (VHD) at a regional level on a daily and time period basis. This report also includes totals for scenario inputs (population, employment, and households), number of person and vehicle trips, and ratios of VMT, VHT, and VHD per capita and per household.

Volume Corridors

The Volume Corridor Summary applies the Florida DOT Quality/Level of Service6 method to calculate average volumes and Level of Service (LOS) along each selected corridor shown in Figure 9. This method compares adjusted model volumes to maximum service volumes in the Generalized Service Volume Tables and returns the associated LOS grade on an A to F scale for the Daily and PM Peak volumes.

Travel Time Corridors

The Travel Time Corridor Summary reports the ratio of congested to theoretical free-flow travel time for the same set of corridors as the Volume Corridor Summary and reports the corresponding level of service based on the thresholds shown in Table 8‑1.

Table 8‑1: Travel Time Ratio Level of Service Thresholds

Congested / Free-flow Travel time Ratio Level of Service
<=1.17 A
>1.17-1.50 B
>1.50-2.00 C
>2.00-2.50 D
>2.50-3.32 E
>=3.33 F
