@wimme, do you know when this folder became unused? Or has it actually never been used?

This folder is no longer being used since 10.1.3/10.1.0 (RN28791) - the code has been fully removed in 10.1.8/10.1.0(CU7) (RN30157).

In that case, as 10.1.x is no longer supported, I'd propose to change this as follows:
