Zangetsu is an anime and movie/series streaming app that pulls content from multiple online sources through JavaScript modules — the catalog can grow as new sources are added without needing an app update.
The home screen is built around a featured hero banner that rotates through trending titles, with content rows beneath it and a source switcher to move between the sources you've installed. Search and browse work the same across every source.
The player is built on a powerful video engine with gesture controls — swipe for brightness and volume, long-press to fast-forward, and a scrub bar with live preview thumbnails. It also includes skip-intro, resume from where you left off, and automatic play of the next episode. For anime you can switch between sub and dub and pick a streaming quality, and subtitles can be loaded and styled to taste.
Your library keeps a My List and a Continue Watching row that track everything you're watching. Sign in and your list, progress, and history sync across devices. Titles you download keep working offline, and downloads continue in the background.
Sources available out of the box: AllAnime and HiAnime for anime; 4K HDHub, UHD Movies, and HDHub4u for movies and series. More can be added at any time under Settings → Sources from the Zangetsu providers repo.
The app ships with a branded splash, a square launcher icon, and a full dark theme.
