Water Data Management Ecosystem for Water Data Spaces
WATERVERSE is an EU-funded project focused on developing a Water Data Management Ecosystem (WDME). Our goal is to make data management practices and resources in the water sector accessible, affordable, secure, fair, and easy to use. By enhancing the usability of data and the interoperability of data-intensive processes, we aim to lower the entry barrier to data spaces, increase the resilience of water utilities, and unlock new market opportunities.
Our repositories are categorized based on their purpose and functionality:
- WATERVERSE DCAT-AP Catalogue: Metadata definitions for datasets, entity data, and data services used by the WATERVERSE pilots, based on the DCAT-AP standard and Smart Data Models.
- SDM Versions Manager: Manages versions of Smart Data Models, tracking current versions and GitHub repository hashes.
- FIWARE Data Converters: Converts water datasets to NGSI-LD format using FIWARE Smart Data Models.
- JSON-LD to RDF Converter: Converts JSON-LD files to RDF format.
- NGSI-LD to RDF Turtle Converter: Converts NGSI-LD data to RDF-Turtle format.
- NGSI-LD to CKAN (NiFi): Integrates NGSI-LD context brokers with CKAN platforms.
- NGSI-LD FAIR enhancer (NiFi): Improves the metadata quality of Dataset and Distribution entities by calculating FAIR metrics.
- Data Model FAIRness Evaluator: Automatically reports the FAIR compliance status of data models.
- FAIR Visualization Metrics: Visualizes FAIR metrics for data models.
- MQA Scoring: Evaluates the FAIRness of data (forked from YourOpenDAta/mqa-scoring).
- SDM Quality Testing: Checks the quality of a data model included in the Smart Data Models program.
- WATERVERSE Flood Simulation Component: Simulates flood scenarios for water management.
- WATERVERSE Synthetic Data Generator Component: Generates synthetic data.
- WATERVERSE Performance Monitor: Monitors the performance of water data systems.
- SQL Schema Generator: Generates PostgreSQL schemas for Smart Data Models.
- SDM Schema Retriever: Retrieves the SDM JSON Schema of a data model based on the Entity Type data.
