YSCE Weapons
YSCE has a variety of weapons that can be used by players and ground objects. Each weapon has unique capabilities between kinematic, explosive, and guidance performance.
YSCE uses the following shorthand notations used in DAT Files.
| YSCE Shorthand | Weapon | Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|
| AIM9 | IR Short-range missile, analogous to an AIM-9D | 90 |
| AIM9X | IR Short-range missile, that can re-target mid-flight | 90 |
| AIM120 | Radar Guided missile that can re-target if the launch aircraft has the target in a 20 degree cone and has another AIM120 loaded. | 150 |
| AGM65 | An air-to-ground missile | 300 |
| B250 | A 250lb bomb | 120 |
| B500 | A 500lb bomb | 250 |
| B500HD | A high-drag 500lb Bomb | 250 |
| RKT | An unguided rocket | 10 |
| FLR | A Flare pod with 20 flares | 120 [1] |
| IFLR | Flares loaded onto the aircraft | 0 |
| FUEL | An external fuel tank with 800kg of fuel by default | 150 [2] |
[1] Flares in the flare pod do not weigh anything. This represents the empty weight of the flare pod which stays loaded even after all flares in the pod are expended.
[2] This is the empty weight of the fuel tank. Weight loaded into the fuel tank is separately added and accounted for.
In YSCE, there are two weapon states: FLYING and STATIC. Each can be represented with a unique mesh (SRF or DNM) file. The default files are located YSCE/misc folder. Whenever a weapon is loaded by an aircraft, if a custom weapon skin is not defined in the DAT File, YSCE will use the corresponding default mesh from this folder.
