Replaces the default AtomicSeqIterable.upperCase() path on Concat with a direct recursive descent that writes leaves into a pre-sized AtomicSeq[], skipping the ConcatIterator + ArrayList allocations. Also clamps the iterator's initial deque hint to elementCount, and bumps the version to 1.2.13. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Concat#append's receiver is by definition a Concat, so calling concat() re-runs an instanceof check that can never miss. Routing through the new growToTheRight helper skips that check on the rope's hottest write path. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Pin the rationale in code so a future reader doesn't "optimise" it by
swapping in jdk.internal.math.DoubleToDecimal or another formatter:
%s on a double must match String.format("%s", d), which delegates here.
