I don't think this change is technically required. We might just be appending 20-30% more stuff to transcript for no reason. See other codebases that also do it, e.g. binius64: https://github.com/binius-zk/binius64/blob/main/crates/verifier/src/protocols/sumcheck/verify.rs#L47-L54 |
