Welcome to deploy.rb

This project was motivated by the large number of examples in the web about how to deploy,
only concentrate the best of all classified documents and my experience on best practices.

This file is configured to handle 3 working environments.

  development
  tests
  production

How to use?

  Capistrano installed, <gem install capistrano>


Set the parameters according to the servers and environments that want to manage.
Example

Domain and system parameters
  set :application, "synergy.com"
  set :production_domain, '4dsynergy.com'
  set :test_domain, 'test.4dsynergy.com'
  set :development_domain, 'development.4dsynergy.com'
  set :database_driver, 'pg'

Repository Parameters
set :scm_username, "casp"                      # github user
set :repository, "git@github.com:casp/capistrano_example_file_deploy.git"  # github repository


After setting the parameters according to your needs.

task :development do
  # server_mysql config
  set :user_driver, '4dsynergy_soft'
  set :password_driver,'1890iopkl,m'
  set :database_server,'system.4dsynergy.com'
  set :databasename, 'synergy_development'
  set :rails_env, "production"
  set :deploy_to, "/home/#{user}/#{development_domain}"
  set :deploy_via, :remote_cache
  role :web, "#{development_domain}"                          # Your HTTP server, Apache/etc
  role :app, "#{development_domain}"                          # This may be the same as your `Web` server
  role :db,  "#{development_domain}", :primary => true # This is where Rails migrations will run

After setting all of the Parameters in the root of our project we have to run the following command.

 If the server has never been realizao an example deploy
 cap <environment>  deploy:setup
   ExamplesUpdates links
     cap development deploy:setup
     cap tests       deploy:setup
     cap production  deploy:setup

 cap <environment>  setup:all
    Examples
      cap development setup:all
      cap test        setup:all
      cap production  setup:all

From now to make the deployments we have to do the following
 cap <environment>  deploy
    Examples
     cap development deploy
     cap tests       deploy
     cap production  deploy

Updates links
 cap <environment> deploy:update_links
   Examples
     cap development deploy:update_links
     cap tests       deploy:update_links
     cap production  deploy:update_links
