Hi, I’m Abdur-Rahman Rana, a Computer Science student at Georgia Tech, passionate about building meaningful software and solving complex engineering problems. Over the past few years, I’ve worked on projects spanning full-stack development, mobile apps, robotics control systems, and cloud platforms. Whether it’s building intuitive user experiences, optimizing algorithms for motion control, or developing AI-powered systems, I enjoy bringing ideas to life through code.


🚀 Featured Projects

Built Iris, a Swift + Rust powered AI video editing engine that integrates a real-time timeline state machine with GPU-accelerated compute for frame analysis. Designed to feel like “Cursor for video,” it enables intuitive, high-performance editing with a lightweight, modular architecture.

Built unGateKeep, a fashion discovery platform leveraging vector search and AI clothing detection, enabling seamless outfit sharing and exploration with Auth0 authentication and AWS deployment.

Developed a VEX Robotics app that replaced legacy tools for tournament management, reaching 2000+ users with optimized caching and seamless Firebase-powered coordination.

Built a school portal used by 900+ students, delivering 20x faster schedules and centralized sports data through a Node.js + MySQL backend and Flutter frontend.

Developed a spline-based motion profiling algorithm in Python and C++ that improved autonomous routine efficiency by 80%, using NumPy and Matplotlib for parametric path planning and PID control loops for precise execution.
