update use past defines
Removed section on Rails 6 & 7 changes regarding boolean fields.
Updated gem dependencies to support older versions of ActiveRecord and ActiveSupport.
Update default_value method to use column casting.
Removed tests for column_type behavior and updated boolean normalization tests.
Updated boolean default value to use true instead of 'yes'. Removed several tests related to query behavior.
