No, it varies between 8 and 12 Watt. Somewhat less if it's bright, IR for night something more, mechanical movement for auto-tracking a subject something more (for some seconds), ...

On average 10 Watt.

On average 10 Watt.

Did you calculate this by taking kWh value at the beginning, kWh at the end and time elapsed?

@rmalbrecht, To move this forward and get it merged, could you briefly explain how the average power was calculated (method / assumptions)? That would help a lot.
