I'm a student and researcher at the University of Georgia's Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
My work centers on applied machine learning systems. A core belief of mine is that machine learning shouldn't just be for developers, engineers, and academics, so you'll often find me working on projects that seek to close the gap between the technical types and lay people.
Problem solving in academic research often ends at publication, but I aim to extend my work beyond the paper by developing end-to-end solutions in whichever domain is peaking my interest at the time.

BalatroBot is a mod for the Roguelike card game that enables all sorts of cool algorithmic gameplay. The harness is in it's nascent stages because Balatro is closed source, but with enough work it can enable us to do fully automated Balatro play with RL. Think AlphaGo applied to Balatro. Running Python and watching the game play automatically is just the coolest thing.

Structured Equilibrium Timber Supply (SETS) is an optimization model for timber markets in the U.S. Southeast developed by Dr. Bruno da Silva at the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. My work on this project is focused on building an accessible web interface for SETS that allows full interactivity with the sophisticated modeling software using a modern web development stack.
