- "Residual df" is better translated as "Degrés de liberté résiduels" - Use initial upper case consistent with English - Use upper case only for first word (French rule) - Remove leading spaces
|
BTW, sometimes the current French translation is more verbose than the English, for example "df" could be translated by "dl" instead of "degrés de liberté". |

Thanks for the contribution @nalimilan ! Updating the translations is tricky because the excel file doesn't track individual changes. Instead of updating the excel file directly, can you make a small table in this PR that lists the English word, the old translation, and your updated translation. I'll take these and update the Excel file
If it's clear for French speakers, please feel free to propose the change here! I do run all changes to the translations by another speaker (just FYI) |

Sure. I've added a table to the description (note that removal of leading spaces isn't visible due to Markdown).
I'm not completely sure TBH, which is why I asked. People would probably guess that "DL" or "DDL" refers to degrees of freedom in French, but like in English it's clearly less explicit than saying it in full. That said, since you chose "df" in English I assume you considered that being short matters more than being explicit in that context. By the way, in French we would translate "95% CI" by "IC à 95%". This isn't currently possible AFAICT. Not a big deal but if that's easy to allow... |

Just an FYI, it may be a couple of weeks to confirm and merge these updates. Thanks for your patience!! |
