Summary

Although the tests didn't reveal any major issues I wasn't able to test all metricsets (due to lack of necessary data in GCP testing account) and there are some breaking changes listed in change logs (see change logs for cloud.google.com/go/auth package).

Also it seems that memory consumption for filebeat and metricbeat goes up after the update. The only open memory related issue I could find is this one but I'm not sure that's the one that caused memory increase here.

Given there are potential issue regarding breaking changes, some errors in the logs (might be due to something wrong with my testing setup as they appear in both old and new versions), possibility of a memory leak, and some CI checks failures (although they don't seem like update related, likely flaky tests) I don't think we should merge this PR at the moment. We might want to wait for newer versions of the packages (that fix memory issues) and do more testing (preferably by someone who is more familiar with gcp module).
