I'm also interested in this change. We're in a situation where we need to use a single Firebase project for FCM, but a different set of environment-specific projects for Firebase Analytics. Unfortunately, neither Firebase Analytics nor FCM play nicely with secondary Firebase apps, but it seems like this change would make it so we could use Firebase Analytics with the default app and FCM with a secondary app. |
