@srimanachanta Thanks — your Meson build works perfectly. We’ll run some local tests and tune the -march flag to make it compatible with most CPUs. It should be uploaded within a week.

Cool thanks. Did you guys end up changing any march flags for these builds? I use FMM3D on an HPC so CPU instruction sets change a lot and may not work.

We didn't change the flag, it targets generic x86-64. For best performance, you may need to build from source with -march=native, note the cmake skbuild branch I tried python with FMM3D_FAST_KER ON,

which enables simd direct kernels in C++, if you want the best performace, you may need to tweak the meson build for a C++ simd fast ker option. And it would be good you can make a pr for that option in meson build, default could be fast ker off
