[BUG] failed to fetch from LND API due to CORS error

Describe the bug

I have an existing Alby installation (chromium) with an LND wallet connected. Just today it stopped working with this error shown in a little popup on the full-screen wallet page.

Error: Failed to fetch

• I'm running latest lnd-linux-amd64-v0.20.1-beta on a cloud server
• My browser has the TLS certificate from LND installed, and I've tested that the browser can connect to LND without TLS errors
• lncli is able to connect just fine, using the same TLS cert, macaroon, and internet connection

This bug looks to be similar to this one: #2522

In the alby extension's devtools, I found this error pops up whenever I try to access my existing LND wallet, or set up a new LND wallet with the same server.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Setup LND
2. Install LND TLS certificate in browser
3. Try to pair Alby with LND
4. Error

Expected behavior

Should pair and connect successfully.

• Alby v3.14.2
• Installed via chrome web store
• Connected with LND

Device information

• Linux, Chromium. Not revealing browser version publicly for privacy reasons.
