Full disclosure - this application is a work in progress. It performs well for matching reference and las data, but it has some bugs and unfinished features. Future improvements are outlined in issues.

The base thesis that motivated this app is that matching trees from reference and lidar data can be tricky to do automatically - since reference trees can be missing, and lidar measurements can have falsely detected trees. Automatic matching may lead to a reference tree being matched to a lidar-detected tree that isn't actually there. Thus, I decided to create an app that supports semi-automatic matching and visual inspection, with additional options of rotating / translating the lidar data before the matching.
