You need a computer running Windows 10 or Windows 11. The software requires 4GB of RAM and 500MB of free hard drive space. An active internet connection allows the agent to communicate with cloud services.

- Open your web browser.
- Navigate to the link shown above.
- Locate the section labeled Releases.
- Click the file ending in .exe to start your download.
- Find the downloaded file in your Downloads folder.
- Double-click the file named Parallax-Installer.exe.
- Windows might show a safety message. Click More info and then click Run anyway.
- Follow the prompts in the setup window.
- Choose a destination folder or accept the default location.
- Click Install to start the process.
- Click Finish once the bar shows complete.
- Find the Parallax icon on your desktop.
- Click the icon twice to open the program.
- The main window shows your current agent settings.
- Enter your API key in the provided box.
- Select the model for your agent.
- Click Start to begin the monitoring process.
- The window displays status updates in real time.
The software monitors requests sent to your agent. It checks the output for common mistakes. If the agent makes a mistake, the software triggers a correction loop. This ensures that the agent attempts to fix the error before giving you a final result.
Parallax also manages the context window of your agent. It keeps track of important information to prevent the agent from forgetting current tasks. This approach reduces confusion and keeps the agent focused on the goal.
Open the Settings tab to change how your agent behaves. You can adjust the temperature setting to control creativity. Lower numbers lead to predictable, stable answers. Higher numbers allow for more varied responses.
You can also set a retry limit. This tells the software how many times to fix a mistake before stopping. We recommend a limit of three attempts for most tasks.
What should I do if the software freezes? Close the program and open it again. All settings save to your local folder automatically.
Can I run multiple agents at the same time? Yes. Open the application again to start a new instance for a different agent.
Does the software send my data elsewhere? The software only sends data to the AI service provider you choose. We do not store your data on our servers.
How do I update the software? The application checks for updates when you start it. Follow the prompts on the screen if a new version exists.
Your API keys remain stored on your computer. The software uses encryption to protect your sensitive information. We do not track your activity or collect usage logs. You maintain full control over your agent environment.
Define clear goals for your agent. Use simple language in your system instructions. Avoid contradictory rules. Test your agent with small tasks before performing large batches of work. Monitor the logs if your agent produces unexpected results.
If you encounter an error, check your internet connection first. Ensure your API key has valid billing credits. If the issue persists, review the error logs in the View menu. These logs contain codes that explain why the connection failed. You can copy these logs to share with support teams if necessary.
