CrossOver 3.4.4

First fully CI-built release — all artifacts are produced by GitHub Actions with proper per-architecture native modules. The macOS build is a true universal2 binary (Apple Silicon + Intel).

Highlights

• New: "Hide from screen recording" preference — keep the crosshair out of captures and streams (#359, #522)
• Fixed: macOS startup crash affecting the v4.0.0-beta.1 pre-release — that build bundled a single-architecture native module (uiohook-napi) and crashed on launch for Intel and Rosetta users (#528, #529). This release bundles both darwin-x64 and darwin-arm64 prebuilds and has been verified to launch under both architectures.
• Added macOS troubleshooting tips to the docs
• Extensive release-pipeline fixes (GitHub Actions + AppVeyor) so future releases build reliably across Windows, macOS, and Linux

Known issues with this beta

These binaries were built on an Apple Silicon machine, and several artifacts ended up ARM64-only:

• Windows: crossover-Installer-4.0.0.exe contains an ARM64 executable. On a normal x64 PC it installs but then fails with "This app can't run on your PC" (#528).
• macOS (Intel): crossover-4.0.0.dmg and crossover-4.0.0-mac.zip bundle an arm64-only native module, so the app crashes on launch on Intel Macs (#529).
• Apple Silicon Macs running the arm64 dmg/zip are unaffected.

If you hit either problem, use the stable v3.4.1 release for now. A CI-built beta.2 with correct per-arch binaries will replace this release.

This version uses a new way of hooking into the mouse/keyboard actions. There should be no change to how the app is seen by anti-cheat systems. However, use mouse/keyboard actions at your own risk.
