<p>QuantLib is free/open-source software released under the modified
BSD License (also known as 3-Clause BSD license).  The modified BSD
License is GPL compatible.</p>
<p>This license has been adopted to allow free use of QuantLib and its
source and to make QuantLib flourish as a project. It allows
proprietary extensions to be commercialized.</p>
