I'd make it clear that Dead Code Elimination is done through the Closure Closure compiler, and on top of that ClojureScript tries to leverage it as much as possible by using the Closure library for DOM operations, XHR and whatnot.

macro can do a great work in detect Dead Code Elimination. This is an example that actually work in clojure but don't in clojurescript.
