This implementation calculates Carlson's R function. This function is introduced here:

It makes use of its relation to the Lauricella hypergeometric function, as described in this article. This function is defined here:

The Lauricella function is computed through its Taylor series, see the wolfram link. This multivariable Taylor series obey a combinatorial identity, turning the multi-index summation into a summation over a single index. This is described in this article:
