Because 8547 is not final, I have not mentioned the timeline of NIST Internal Report 8547 (ipd) --2035 to replace classic public key cryptography. |
Updated the section to include the currently available quantum safe algorithms from the NIST competition and guidance from ENISA-ECCG. Taking into account: * NIST Internal Report 8547 (ipd), and * BSI Status of quantum computer development 2.1. * ENISA-ECCG: Agreed cryptographic methods 2.0. Mention challenges in implementing quantum safe algorithms, and moved the hybrid approach in a different section (as time passes it becomes less and less relevant). Updated the section to include the currently available quantum safe algorithms from NIST competition. Updated the paragraph on AES to tone down the message on its vulnerability following:
Mention challenges in implementing quantum safe algorithms, and moved the hybrid approach in a different section.
