The annotation creation sub-system is feature complete for the initial usage scenario.
There is one user-facing bug: using the automatic event handling for popovers has weird side-effects. Visibly, upon opening a second popover, the button to open the editor modal disappears in the first popover. The underlying state handling is also affected. That's why I leave the UI bug right now, to force users to close all popovers before continuing. It's merely a little bit annoying and I don't think it prevents productive usage.
The node-link diagram is not final: I have handled it at a lower priority and will add features to interact with the visualization asap.
I am making this a pre-release, because it is untested and for internal use (i.e. for project staff).
