Heyy @gjgilbert how much work is left on the gap-filling algorithm?
If you have the time could you work on it so that we could get jazzhands on JOSS?

@theand9 The gap-filling algorithm should be good to go as is. Just copy/paste the functions in the notebook to wherever you want to implement the wavelets methods that rely on uniform sampling. If something isn't clear or doesn't work, let me know and I'll look into it.

There are likely going to be edge cases where the algorithm fails, but I think the best way to handle that is to address them as they arise. I tried to anticipate as many as I could, but I'm sure something will come up as we test/use the package in real applications.
