Closing a course
This page explains how a course can be closed and what closing a course means.
When you close a course, the course material is still available to students. However, whenever a student goes to page in the course material, they get a pop-up message. You can configure the message displayed and add a link to a new version of the course.
- In admin view, go to the overview tab.
- Click the green Edit button.
- Enable ’Set course closed at’ and configure settings:
- Closed at: The time when the course will close.
- Additional message on the closed course notification: A message displayed to students in a pop-up message.
- Closed course successor ID: (Optional) The ID of a new version of the course. If you don't know how to find the course ID, follow the instructions below.
Go to the admin view of the course. Copy the last string of characters in your browser's address bar, this string is the course ID.
