Pull request overview
Updates the README to reflect that the 2.x line is now the current stable release, and that 1.x is in security-fixes-only mode.
Changes:
- Mark 2.x as “Current stable release” in the supported versions table.
- Reclassify 1.x as “Security fixes only”.
