Public sources only · Open source · Transparent intelligence
Relay Community Edition is an open-source OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) platform designed to help researchers discover, organize, and analyze publicly available information about individuals and organizations across the internet.
This repository hosts the free and open-source edition of Relay, built to provide a transparent and ethical framework for open-source investigations.
Rather than focusing on mass data collection, Relay prioritizes:
- Traceable intelligence
- Reliable correlations
- Clear data provenance
Every result produced by Relay links directly to its original public source, allowing investigations to remain verifiable, auditable, and legally compliant.
Relay is designed for:
- OSINT researchers
- Investigative journalists
- Security analysts
- Developers building intelligence tools
- Students learning open-source investigation
Relay Community Edition provides a structured workflow for open-source investigations.
Connect multiple identifiers belonging to the same subject:
- Usernames
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Aliases
Aggregate information from publicly accessible web sources and organize it into structured intelligence profiles.
Transform scattered online traces into clear investigative context.
Every result includes direct references to the original public location, ensuring transparency.
Relay uses careful correlation methods designed to minimize false positives.
The platform is built to be modular, allowing developers to add new public-source connectors and expand investigative coverage.
Relay Community Edition supports a wide range of open-source investigation workflows.
Common use cases include:
- Digital footprint investigations
- Background research and verification
- Open-source reconnaissance
- Exposure and visibility analysis
- OSINT research training
Because Relay is fully open source, the platform can be audited, modified, and extended by the community.
In addition to the Community Edition, a separate professional platform called Relay Intelligence is in development.
Relay Intelligence is not open source and will not be publicly distributed.
It is intended exclusively for verified organizations and professional teams, such as cybersecurity groups, government institutions, corporate security teams, and authorized investigative organizations.
Compared to the Community Edition, Relay Intelligence expands the platform with advanced analysis, automation, and operational investigation capabilities.
Access to Relay Intelligence will be strictly controlled. Organizations requesting access must pass verification procedures to confirm they represent legitimate entities before any access is granted. The platform will primarily be available through controlled demonstrations and verified partnerships.
Relay is built around responsible intelligence practices.
Public Sources Only
Relay uses exclusively publicly accessible information.
Transparency First
Every finding includes clear source attribution.
GDPR-Aware Design
The platform follows data minimization and responsible handling principles.
Accuracy Over Volume
Relay prioritizes reliable and verifiable intelligence rather than large quantities of data.
Relay does not perform:
- Credential stuffing
- Illegal scraping
- Access to private databases
- Bypassing protected systems
It simply helps researchers organize and analyze information that already exists in the public domain.
