Privacy Keyboard is a free, open-source Android keyboard that works entirely on your device. Your keystrokes, words, and clipboard items never leave your phone.
What's included
- No internet permission — Android enforces this at the OS level; the app physically cannot send data
- Autocomplete — on-device dictionary with a Trie for fast prefix matching; learns words you type
- Clipboard bar — clipboard items appear inline in the suggestion strip; tap to paste
- Emoji picker — full emoji browser with recent history and swipe-to-scroll categories
- 3 keyboard themes — Light, Dark, and Amoled
- Haptic feedback — per-keystroke vibration, configurable in Settings
- Special characters layout — toggle for symbols, punctuation, and numbers
- Caps lock — 3-state: off → shift (one key) → caps lock
