NOTE: This is a perma-draft, as there's no intention to merge it back with
master. At the moment, I am not aware of a better solution to keeping this draft hanging around that isn't also relatively high cost (write up a new Jenkins build independent of this GitHub repo, retool using GH Actions or CircleCI, etc.).
