OBS websocket connection

Ultimate Closed Captions can connect to OBS internal websocket server

  • In OBS, Open menu "Tools" (Alt+T) -> Websocket server settings
  • Click "Show Connect Info" to get your server port and password

When connected you can:

  • Send captions in your spoken language as CEA-608 captions embedded in your stream to make them available on your Twitch VODs and most streaming platforms
  • Stop captions automatically when ending your stream on OBS
