Potential features

Here is a list of potential streamer-oriented features we are thinking of implementing to make this tool used by more people. We probably won't implement everything in this list (or in a very long time), so if you are a streamer please join our discord to tell us what you want the most. This will help us know what we should work on in priority

Support other Voice Recognition services

We are currently using the Web Speech API to have free speech recognition.
Most alternatives are paid, but supporting them could allow:

• Voice capture when OBS is running without requiring a web browser tab constantly open
• Automatic language detection
• More control over things like punctuation or automatic censoring

Look into open source translation models

Some open source models may allow free translations generated directly on your computer.
This process will probably be CPU heavy, with only a limited set of language supported.

Simpler ways to pay for translation

Let streamers enable translation without worrying about API keys
(By paying us directly to enable translation, or letting viewers pay with bits)
This may allow streamers to pay less because of quantity discounts

Export generated captions

Save captions transcript as SRT files. This would allow you to combine them later to VODs
