Replay Scan and Special Unit Counts

Replay details can show scan usage and commander-specific unit modifications. These values are derived from replay events and apply to the currently selected breakpoint.

Reading a special unit count

Most modified units use the format total/special:

  • The first number is the total number of that unit in the build.
  • The second number is how many of those units received the commander-specific modification by the selected breakpoint.

Biomass special unit count

In this example, Swarm Queen 9/3 means the player had nine Swarm Queens and three of them received Abathur Biomass.

The supported modifications are:

  • Abathur Biomass - number of distinct units that received Biomass.
  • Artanis Guardian Shell - number of units that received Guardian Shell.
  • Karax Orbital Strike Beacon - number of units upgraded with an Orbital Strike Beacon.
  • Vorazun Dark Pylon - number of units upgraded with a Dark Pylon.

Repeated applications to the same unit do not increase these unit counters.

Alarak Power Overwhelming

Power Overwhelming is the exception. For Supplicants, the first number is the current unit count and the second is the cumulative number sacrificed to Ascendants by the selected breakpoint.

Power Overwhelming sacrifice count

Here, Supplicant 6/9 means six Supplicants are currently in the build and nine Supplicants have already been sacrificed. The sacrifice count can therefore be greater than the current unit count. It does not mean that nine Ascendants received Power Overwhelming.

Scan count

The Scans: N badge shows the number of successful scan casts detected for that player during the replay. The badge is displayed only when at least one scan was detected.

Raynor's free scans are included in the count. Because those scans do not cost minerals, the number should not always be interpreted as scans × 25 minerals.

Availability

These values are available for supported, newly decoded replays.
