Snap Sync / Node

Added snap/2 sync behind --snap.v2. The node now hands snap state over to the pipeline and runs a snap backfill (#27706, #27708, #27712, #27815)
Removed dead snap-sync APIs (#27835)

Storage

The node now refuses databases that the selected sync mode cannot use (#27704)

Networking

Snap peers that are unavailable now get lower priority (#27730)
discv4 now matches neighbours replies by source IP (#27722)

Trie

Correctness fixes: rewind backward overlay seeks, reject zero chunk sizes, reject unsupported sparse roots, remove orphaned branches, and seal update stream construction (#27782, #27786, #27784, #27832, #27785)
Error and observability fixes: one shared proof error conversion, worker error sources kept, hashed cursor trace spans identified, and cursor duration units named (#27788, #27790, #27772, #27771)
Cleanup: shared proof overlay setup and storage proof collection, separate storage proof messages, flattened computed trie data, simpler deferred receivers, and removal of rayon reexports and the unused sparse node model (#27797, #27798, #27791, #27794, #27796, #27792, #27793, #27789, #27769, #27770, #27795)

Chain State

Parent chains are now dropped iteratively instead of recursively (#27818)

CLI

CPU core count can now be overridden (#27765)
Download no longer runs chain checks it doesn't use (#27756)
Unused pub items narrowed to pub(crate) (#27799)

DST / Testing

DST gained optimized builds, gated trie/MDBX checks and Bedrock property macros (#27819, #27837)

Codebase-wide idiom cleanups: normalized literals, zero/enum predicates, BlockId helpers, ExecOutput::done, Capability/Protocol constructors, alloy/revm conversions and aliases, and named Chain constructors (#27729, #27742, #27744, #27746, #27747, #27748, #27749, #27750)

Bumped all git-pinned reth-* workspace dependencies in Cargo.toml from rev 42fa3c5 to 17279c2 so every crate stays on the same upstream Reth commit.
reth-revm moved to the new rev too. Its std and optional-checks features are unchanged.
No API renames, parameter changes or removed methods appear in this diff. It changes only the dependency revision. Any code migration needed for the new Reth commit would be in other files.
The crates.io-versioned deps (reth-codecs, reth-primitives-traits at 0.8.1) were not changed.
